Random drug screening

Mooring Programs and Casa Care provides random drug screening as a practice, and require all clients to participate. The results remain confidential and are used in the treatment process.

Individualized Counseling

Each client is assigned a primary counselor upon admission who remains with the client throughout the treatment process.

Group Counseling

Group counseling is provided five days a week with attendance and participation a requirement for all clients.

Family Counseling

Family counseling is provided in a group setting as well as on an individual basis and is one of the strengths of our program.

Individualized Treatment Planning

Each client works with their primary counselor to develop an appropriate treatment plan based on client needs and is the basis for their treatment direction.

Medication Monitoring/ Medication Education Groups

All medications are monitored daily and reviewed by our medical director on a regular basis. Personal physicians are updated regularly and are actively involved in client treatment.

All clients that are prescribed medications are required to attend Medication Education groups. This provides an opportunity to discuss issues specific to the dually/diagnosied individual.

24 Hr. Awake Staff

Due to the complex nature of treatment and client needs a 24 hr. awake staff is available in case of crisis or emergency.

Crisis Team / Social De-Tox

Mooring Programs Inc. has been in partnership with the community to provide 24hr crisis assistance to alcohol related incidents. There are trained professionals that respond to police and hospital calls that provide consultations and to assess situations that require intervention. If hospitalization is not required, Mooring Programs Inc. provides Social Detoxification for men who are medically cleared at the main facility. The trained staff monitors and follows a strict protocol for the safe social detoxification of individuals and remains cost effective for the police, hospitals, and community. As part of the Social Detoxifacication program these individuals are encouraged and helped to access AODA services in the community

Free Aftercare

After completing treatment in the main program Aftercare is provided on an individualized basis at no cost to the client. We believe that treatment is a process and is ongoing.

Referral Services

When limits are encountered within our staff referral services are utilized to provide the most appropriate client centered care.

Psychological Consultation and Testing

Psychological consultation and testing is provided by a trained staff member who evaluates clients on an as needed basis.

Clinical Supervision

On site clinical supervision is provided for all clinical and support staff.

Medication Management

Our treatment team monitors all medications and works closely with Doctors, pharmacists, and mental health professionals to ensure that medications are appropriate and that the client remains in compliance with their medication schedules.
